Seller: ghoul7210 (355) 99.7%, Location: St Helens, TAS, Ships to: AU, Item: 283076136638 A rare three part sterling silver and crystal vanity set, including two vanity jars and one perfume bottle. The perfume bottle is a superb square form, compact sized, cut crystal bottle with polished base. The cut crystal vanity jars are a little rougher but have genuine sterling silver lids. This is an antique set with signs of age, made by J H Adams in Birmingham in the year 1915, please read condition report below. Condition report: Small vanity jar: small dents in lid, roughness to outside of crystal jar. Large vanity jar: small dents to lid, crystal jar is a replacement one of the same style but has a metal rim collar, it's almost certainly also from the early 20th century. The lid is not a perfect fit - being slightly over-sized in diameter for the jar - could perhaps use layers of tape to secure a tight fit. Bear in mind that the lids were never meant to perfectly seal anyway. Perfume bottle: same monogram as the other items, but not hallmarked. It's not magnetic and I firmly believe it's solid silver. The perfume bottle itself is sealed with a small cork, while the silver lid is more ornamental. It's a nice little set, I'm underselling it a bit by pointing all the minor details out. Would look nice on a crystal tray.
